Seifert Jazz Days is a festival created as a natural complement to the Zbigniew Seifert Foundation's flagship project, the Seifert Competition. Since the competition is held every two years and has a strictly defined formula limited to presentations by violin soloists, there is no room for artistic projects inspired by the music of and the figure of Zbigniew Seifert. Thus, the festival was created in the non-competitive years as a space for creative reinterpretations, composer commissions and performances by artists fascinated by Seifert's energy. On the one hand, it is a review of the string scene in improvised music, on the other - a meeting place for artists from the borderline of genres, forms and cultures. Seifert Jazz Days 2025 is realized as part of Krakow Jazz Week.
